Show Sponsor: The Pizza Therapy Pizza Kit: All you need to make great pizza!
In this episode of the Pizza Therapy Podcast, I speak with one of the Rising Stars of the Pizza World. Her name is Monica and she is known as the Pizza Blonde.
Pizza blonde on Instagram: Pizza Blonde.
Pizza Blonde website: pizzablonde.com
Monica talks about her earliest pizza memories and how she took her pizza taste from ordinary to extraordinary. She explains how moving to the New Haven area ramped up her love for pizza and she even adds fuel to one o the biggest rivalries in the area: the Pepe’s / Sally’s pizza debate. For those of you who are not familiar with Pepe’s or Sally’s, they are located at opposite ends of Wooster Street in New Haven, Connecticut. As we explain, you are either a Pepe’s Fan or Sally’s fan. There is no middle ground here as far a die-hard ah-beets fans in New Haven will proclaim!
While she is just starting her journey as a pizza maker, she shares some great advice for anyone who wants to make pizza. She mentions some valuable resources for anyone interested in making great pizza.
She now lives in the Boston area and she recommends several great pizza places to try while you are in that region of the pizza universe.
Monica would rather take pictures of pizza than discuss pizza, but I found her conversation to be extremely engaging and fascinating. Monica gives excellent advice on the best method to photograph pizza. And these are valuable insights from someone who has over 20,000 Instagram followers.
She is always on the lookout for that next great pie and she reveals where she went on her 48-hour trek to Italy.
